AJF Catering like many businesses started quite by accident. In 2003 Antony J. Flatman was asked if he would be willing to take over the catering at Burghfield Sailing Club near Reading with its armies of members needing rapid sustenance when they came off the water between races. |

Antony ran the club single handed for a while operating at weekends and on a Wednesday evening which he fitted in with his full time job as a Sous chef/head chef with a national commercial caterer. |

Good food, charm and a desire to succeed soon left Antony unable to cope alone and a few staff started to appear on the scene. Before too long AJF incorporated into AJF Catering LLP and at the same time expanded into Golf Club catering turning the business to a seven day a week operation. |

The board of AJF now comprises a business development director and three more highly experienced chef directors one taking an operations management role. The firm has expanded into outside events and commercial catering and has an insatiable hunger for more locations. |
